New Hampshire is located in the New England area in the north eastern part of U.S. It got its name from the English county of Hampshire. It borders in the west Vermont and Maine and in the east Atlantic Ocean, it is flanked by Massachusetts in south and Quebec (which is in Canada) in north. Its capital is Concord with Manchester as its largest city. New Hampshire is ranked ninth as the least populated state and is 46th as per the total land area in U.S.

Ski Mountains can be seen in the eastern coast of New Hampshire; also it is famous for winter games like hiking, mountaineering, and snowmobiling and skiing. People enjoy the lakes, coastline and various motor games. Parts of Maine and Vermont of Appalachian Trail are linked by the White Mountain National Forest. Mount Washington is about 1,917 meters high; people take ride to this mount through the Mount Washington Auto road.

New Hampshire was the 1st in U.S. to free itself the Britain rule in Jan, 1776. It approved the U.S. constitution on June 1788. It was the 9th state to approve the constitution and the 1st in United States of America to make its own constitution.

New Hampshire consists of ten counties out of which 5 were formed in 1769. At that time New Hampshire was in British colony. Then in 1840 other counties such as Belknap County and Carroll County were formed. The counties were got its name after well known American and British personalities else due its land features and location. There is a county named ‘Coo County’, it is a Native American utterance which means crooked because of the twist in the Connecticut River. In the southern part of the state counties are small and have large population but in the north counties land area is large as compared to the counties in south however less population has.
